- This bag is also available with Italian vegetable tanned leather. Vegetable tanning is to process the hides in a pure and natural way without using chemicals. The process is used in order to stabilise the skins and be able to process the resulting leather. It is a traditional, artisanal process that takes advantage of the tannic acids naturally found in some plants, by using the barks, branches, leaves or even some fruits in some specific techniques.
The zipper daypack 202 features minimalist straps against a variety of solid colours, giving the bag a unique urban style. The straps are adjustable with the tying of a simple knot (avoiding the use of any kind of unnecessary extras like clasps and buckles). Apart from its basic features, this canvas canvas daypack double is also Water-Repellent and is lined with thick waterproof canvas for extra durability. The making process corresponds to the highest ethical standards possible, using even the smallest production leftovers. The bags are Totally Handmade from high- quality Italian material leftovers, such as waste leather and canvas, which make every bag Unique to all the rest. The straps are created by me, sewing together leather pieces with contemporary embroidery stitches. The canvas is Water/Oil Repellent, Resistant to mold, stains, salt and U.V. fading. This backpack is designed for everyday use. It can fit laptops, books, personal items, clothes... The canvas is treated with Teflon nanotechnology producing a finish that has a higher repellency to dirt, water and oils, furthermore i'ts resistant to mould, stains, salt and U.V. fading. Winning on all fronts, it appears :)
